Welcome Summer’s arrival at our Summer Solstice Faire offering herbal lore and a tour of the Hale Farm garden. Gail Nogas, herbalist from Enfield and owner of Gayle's Good Thyme Herbal Apothecary, will speak on "The Legend and Lore of Mead Making" and Rosemari Roast, herbalist from Winsted, will share the secrets of “The Basic Brine" showing what you can do with fresh vegetables, a little sea salt and water. Children can celebrate the Solstice by creating a take-home sundial and decorating Cupcakes Del Sol. The market is held June through October, every Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm, now in a new location on the grounds of the Nathan Hale Homestead located in Coventry at 2299 South Street. Surrounded by over 500 acres of forest and picturesque rural landscape, the Hale Farm provides a gracious backdrop for this vibrant farmers’ market.
